Just wanted to say we are alive and well. Here's the month in a nutshell:
January 1 - we were at our place in the country. We had had a wonderful New Years Eve with the bon-fire, cook-out, incredible fireworks and all! We took the grandkids and they had a blast. JD loves to go to "the country". He wants to go all the time! Anyways, I cooked us up a mess of black-eyed peas, honey baked ham from The Honey-Baked Ham Company (I LOVE), some cabbage, cornbread and sliced onions. Oh, this makes me hungry just thinking about it. Oh, it was good.
Tim and I took off mid day to head to Dallas.
January 2 - We had tickets to the Cotton-Bowl with Texas Tech and Ole Miss. Tim and I became instant rivals for the day. Our son, Eric graduated from TT so we are big fans. I'm from Mississippi and would have loved to have graduated from Ole Miss but my folks were transferred here. It was a fun game and a fun time. Tim was all in my face the first part of the game as TT came out strong. But, he had to sit on his hiney with egg on his face pretty soon as the Rebels wanted it more!!!!!
January 3 - We went to Canton. Oh, how I love Canton. I want to go back when I can spend some money. It was right after Christmas, and paying Shan's college tuition for this semester so Tim kept me on a short leash!!! Everytime I stopped for too long, he pulled me on! We had so much fun.
The rest of the weekend we enjoyed our Camper/5th wheel which we had taken to stay in. We really have enjoyed owning that and though we are still paying for it / it has already paid for itself with all the times we have used it and all the fun!!!!
January 5 - I started my 30 juice fast. I have been feeling so bad and had a few health issues that I knew it was time to take care of me totally........physically, mentally, spiritually, etc. So I started me a fasting. It has been very good for me all around. Slow down. Listen. Evaluate what's really important. (That will be it's own post next week as I conclude).
January 20 - JD turned 4. Can you believe that sweet, handsome and hilarious child is 4? He is the funniest fellow and has an imagination beyond words.
January 23 - my folks came in. I love my parents to visit. We always have so much fun.
January 25 - JD's 4th bday party. It was a construction theme and so much fun!!!
Here is the Princess Kenzie in her Mudcake Orginal - made by mama outfit wiht construction equipment on it!
We went out as a family after the party to eat mexican food for JD's bday. I had broth. Yes, broth at a mexican food restaurant. This is when they came to sing happy birthday to the birthday boy!!!
January 29 - My dad and I painted my dining room. I have been wanting to redo it and I spent the night before texturing the walls. I must say I really love the texture (Spanish Knife) and the paint!
Today - dad is putting the last coat of paint on so I look forward to putting it all back together tomorrow for our SuperBowl party on Sunday!!! Tim and I go tonight to see Rodney Carrington. He is one of Tim's favorite comedians and what I gave him/us for Christmas this year. It's become somewhat of a tradition for me to get him/us some sort of comedy tickets each year!!
Well, that catches us up!!!!
